This short trip will allow you to know the main tourist places that are the hallmark of Peru. It begins with the arrival in the capital city of Lima, also known as the “city of kings”, the ancient center of the Inca empire, the city of Cusco and the magical city of Machupicchu “the lost city of the Incas”. route, we will arrive at Puerto Maldonado, capital of Peruvian biodiversity and home to one of the most precious natural reserves on the planet: Tambopata.

DAY 1: Welcome


Welcome to Lima!

Upon arrival at “Jorge Chavez” international airport, you will be greeted by a representative of Peru Vip Travel, who will give you a warm welcome and take you to your hotel. During the transfer, we will give you a brief introduction to the city and upon arrival you can relax and get ready for the exciting adventure that awaits us.

DAY 2: City Tour Lima


After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will start the day exploring the fascinating city of kings. From the comfort of our transportation, you will be able to admire emblematic places such as the Paseo de la República, the famous Plaza San Martín and the imposing Government Palace. Then, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich history by visiting the Convent of San Francisco, an outstanding architectural work of the 17th century. The experience will culminate with a tour of the catacombs, the main cemetery of the colonial era.

After the city tour, you will have part of the afternoon free to enjoy lunch. Afterwards, we will head to the famous Magic Circuit of the Waters, where you will explore an enchanting park with 13 cybernetic fountains. You will experience a unique show, where water, music and an impressive set of laser lights merge to offer you a wonderful spectacle.

Finally, you will be escorted back to your hotel so you can relax and rest after a day full of discoveries.

DAY 3: City Tour Cusco


After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will board our transportation and then head to the Lima airport to board our flight to Cusco, enjoying unique views of the Andes from the heights.

Upon arrival in the imperial city, a representative will give you a warm welcome and transfer you to your hotel. During the ride, enjoy an introduction to this historic city. Upon arrival at the hotel, a comforting coca tea will be waiting for you, a perfect drink to acclimatize to the altitude and begin this adventure.

In the afternoon, we will enter the ancient Inca capital. We will start by visiting the emblematic Plaza de Armas. Then, we will head to the Santo Domingo Convent, also known as the Temple of the Sun or Qoricancha.

The adventure will continue at the imposing Sacsayhuaman Fortress and the enigmatic temple of Qenqo, strategically built high up to offer panoramic views of the city of Cusco.

Our tour will culminate with a visit to Pukapukara, known as the Inca guard post, and Tambomachay.

DAY 4: Sacred Valley


Today we will travel to the mythical “Sacred Valley of the Incas”.

We will transfer by bus to the archaeological site of Pisaq (1 hour), located at the top of the highest mountain in the town of the same name. Here we will have a guided tour of approximately 2 hours and in the village we will visit its handicraft market.

Continuing with the trip, we will head to the city of Urubamba passing through picturesque traditional villages along the way and other places of great natural beauty.

We will arrive in Urubamba at noon and pause to enjoy an exquisite lunch, allowing us to recharge our batteries before the next phase of our adventure.

After the enriching gastronomic experience, we will head towards the vibrant town of Ollantaytambo, affectionately known as the “living town”. This enchanting place will immerse you in daily life steeped in history and tradition.

Filled with unforgettable memories and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the Andes, we will return to Cusco.

DAY 5: Machupicchu


Today, we will embark on the realization of a lifelong dream.
After a delicious breakfast in the morning we will be ready for this exciting adventure, we will depart at the appointed time to the train station (San Pedro, Poroy or Ollantaytambo).

We will board the train to the charming town of Aguas Calientes, enjoying an impressive landscape, full of vegetation, flora, green mountains and the Urubamba River.

Upon arrival, our guide will be waiting for you, and together we will board the bus that will take us to the Machu Picchu checkpoint for a 30 minute ride, on the way we will have spectacular views of mountains and the Urubamba River, which forms a deep canyon.

You will enjoy a first view of the sanctuary, together with our guide we will immerse ourselves in the history, architecture and mysteries of Machu Picchu during a tour of approximately 2 hours, visiting its highlights such as the Intihuatana, the temple of the Condor among others. We will have free time to explore on our own and immerse ourselves in the unique energy of this wonder.

After the enriching visit, we will take the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes to enjoy lunch (not included).

To conclude this unique experience, we will board the train to Ollantaytambo, where our representative will meet us and take us back to our hotel in Cusco. This quiet and comfortable closing marks the end of a day full of discoveries in the majestic Machupicchu.

DAY 6: Free Day


Immerse yourself in the cultural richness of Cusco while enjoying a free day to explore its charming cobblestone streets. Take the opportunity to buy some souvenirs of your visit to the imperial city.

DAY 7: Puerto Maldonado


At the agreed time, our team will pick you up at your hotel to accompany you to the airport, where you will take your flight to Puerto Maldonado.

Upon arrival at the airport, a representative will be waiting for you to give you a warm welcome and then embark for 1 hour and 30 minutes by boat along the Madre de Dios River until you arrive at the lodge. We will enjoy a tasty lunch made with organic ingredients and native flavors.

After lunch we will take a walk along the natural trails, learn about the primary and secondary forest, its components, uses, man-made transformations, and its relevance to the world. Ending at night where we will have the opportunity to observe the behavior of nocturnal flora and fauna of the Amazon. We will return to the lodge to enjoy a refreshing traditional dinner.

DAY 8: Guacamayos


We wake up very early in the morning to head to the largest macaw clay lick in the world. On the way, we will enjoy the incredible opportunity to witness the beautiful sunrise. Arriving at the macaw clay lick, we will witness one of the most beautiful natural spectacles in the world, where hundreds of parrots of different species (11 in total) come to eat clay from the wall adjacent to the river.

On the way back, we will have the opportunity to see ronsocos, sachavacas, monkeys and peccaries. We will also have time to swim in the refreshing waters of the Amazon River. In the evening, we will get ready to rest after having lived such a beautiful day full of experiences.

DAY 9: Sandoval Lake


Today will be a day with many emotions, after enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will get ready for a hike along the Tambopata National Reserve to Sandoval Lake.

Here we will understand why Madre de Dios is known as the biodiversity capital of Peru. We will learn about the conservation work of the Reserve and about the formation of the lake, we will navigate by canoe through this mirror of water, home of the endangered giant otter, the blue macaw, the yellow macaw, and one of the largest freshwater fish in the world “the Paiche”.

After this adventure we will go deep into the heart of the reserve,

We will return and enjoy a refreshing drink before taking a nap.

In the evening we will have an interesting night excursion, we will navigate the Madre de Dios River, to learn about its ecosystem, the Amazonian gorges, the behavior of the nocturnal fauna on the riverbanks. Our day will end with a traditional dinner in the dining room.

DAY 10: Farewell


This morning we will have free time to enjoy the sunrise and capture the breathtaking views of the Madre de Dios River, optional we can go birding early in the morning. We will enjoy the last breakfast with organic ingredients from our pantry before departing.

Your guide and our staff will bid you farewell and thank you for your visit to this part of the Amazon.

We will travel by outboard motor canoe back to Puerto Maldonado. To board your flight back to Lima.
