DAY 1: Welcome
WELCOME TO LIMA – CITY TOUR – MAGICAL CIRCUIT OF THE WATERS
You will be greeted by a representative of Peru Vip Travel, who will give you a warm welcome and take you to your hotel. In the afternoon, we will immerse ourselves in the rich history of Lima and its surroundings. We will begin by visiting the enigmatic Huaca Pucllana. Then, we will explore the Historic Center of Lima from our mobility, admiring the majestic Paseo de la Republica, the Plaza San Martin, the Plaza de Armas, the Government Palace and the Cathedral Basilica. We will continue our adventure entering the Convent of San Francisco. In the evening enjoy a sound and light show at the Magic Circuit of the Waters.
DAY 2: Gastronomic Experience
GASTRONOMIC EXPERIENCE IN PERU
Today you will have the opportunity to taste and live a unique gastronomic experience, we start with the pick up at your hotel, then we go to the market to buy the ingredients we will need to prepare one of the 3 dishes of your choice, which can be: Ceviche, Lomo Saltado or Aji de pollo. Then we start the preparation and at the end we will taste our typical dishes, prepared by us and we will toast your arrival with a delicious Pisco Sour. Free afternoon to explore the city.
DAY 3: Lima – Cusco
FLIGHT LIMA – CUSCO
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will board our transportation and head to the Lima airport to board our flight to Cusco, enjoying unique views of the Andes from the heights. Upon arrival in the imperial city, a representative will give you a warm welcome and transfer you to your hotel located in the historic center of Cusco for an introduction to the city. Upon arrival at the hotel, a comforting mate de coca, the perfect drink to acclimatize to the altitude and begin your adventure, will be waiting for you.
DAY 4: Sacred Valley
PISAC – URUBAMBA AND OLLANTAYTAMBO
Today we will immerse ourselves in a day full of mysticism in the “Sacred Valley of the Incas”. Our first destination will be Pisac, an ancient agricultural center. We will visit the vibrant artisan market and immerse ourselves in the authenticity of the rich local culture. We will delight in a delicious lunch in Urubamba, prepared with fresh, local products from the area. Finally we will head to Ollantaytambo, the last living Inca city and strategic military point. In the afternoon we will return to our hotel.
DAY 5: Hiram Bingham Train – Machu Picchu
LUXURY TRIP TO MACHUPICCHU
We will begin our exciting journey at Poroy station, where we will be greeted with a welcome full of dancing and music. As we board the train, let yourself be captivated by the best cocktails and a gourmet lunch, all while enjoying spectacular views from the observatory car of the flora and the sacred Vilcanota River that will accompany us throughout our journey until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes. We will board the bus that will take us directly to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu with our guide. We will enter the Inca citadel with our private guide, exploring its wonders for approximately 2 hours. Afterwards we will enjoy a “Te time” before returning to our hotel.
DAY 6: Machu Picchu – Cusco
INKATERRA HOTEL – CUSCO
This day after enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will enjoy a free day at the Inkaterra Hotel. In the afternoon, before boarding the train back to Machu Picchu. Experience the return with a gourmet dinner, live music and dances that will envelop you in an unforgettable experience. Upon arrival at the station our transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
DAY 7: City Tour Cusco
THE BEST OF CUSCO (3,400M)
We will begin our fascinating adventure in the historic Plaza de Armas, a scenario that has witnessed transcendental events. We will continue our tour to the Temple of the Sun, also known as “Qoricancha”, an architectural jewel that fuses different pre-Inca, Inca and colonial architectural influences. Our next stop will be Sacsayhuaman, where we will be amazed by the constructions of huge limestone blocks. Next, we will visit Qenqo, an Inca ceremonial temple, followed by Pukapukara, known as the Inca guard post. Finally, we will explore Tambomachay, also called the Inca Baths, immersing ourselves in the history and grandeur of these ancient structures.
DAY 8: Maras & Moray – Pachamanca
ATV’S MARAS AND MORAY – ANDEAN PACHAMANCA
We begin our fascinating experience full of adrenaline, we will board our transportation that will take us to Maras. This site was an ancient salt mine with more than 3000 wells, where the extraction continues to this day becoming a living tradition. Then, we will head back to our base to begin our exciting ATV adventure, exploring the road to our next destination: the ancient Inca laboratory of Moray. Finally, we will head to the community of Umasbamba, where we will receive a unique welcome with traditional music. We will learn about their customs and participate in the preparation of Pachamanca, an ancestral dish prepared in an oven with hot stones and filled with various ingredients. We will enjoy a weaving demonstration and then enjoy the Pachamanca before returning to Cusco.
DAY 9: Return Home
CUSCO – RETURN HOME
Today we say goodbye to the city of Cusco and all the Peru VIP Travel team, at the agreed time we will pick you up to transfer you to the airport and board the flight Cusco – Lima. Finally upon arrival we will board our international flight back home. End of the program the best of peru 09 days.
