Yesterday Paramount Pictures premiered the seventh installment of the Transformers “The Awakening of the Beasts” film saga in Peru, filmed in the different attractions and unique Andean landscapes of the Latin American country.

Cusco
Cusco, a city with a lot of history was chosen for this unprecedented film experience, which captivated visitors not only for its tourist attractions but also for its beautiful landscapes and traditions. Machupicchu
The world wonder and UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the perfect setting where several of the main scenes of Transformers “Awakening of the Beasts” were filmed. It is worth noting that Machupicchu had never before been the setting for a movie.
CURIOUS FACT:
Before starting the filming in this place, the reproduction team and the actors participated in a sacred ritual (payment to the Pachamama, a customary ritual in the Andes before starting a new project) with a shaman, in the historical sanctuary to express their gratitude to mother earth and ask for the best omens for the success of the film.
Plaza de Armas in Cuzco
During the filming of this movie, the Plaza de Armas was also an emblematic setting for a parade in which more than 700 artists participated, dressed in traditional costumes and working as artisans.
Sacsayhuaman
At the top of the Sacsayhuaman Fortress there are three towers, one of which was also the scene of some incredible scenes from Transformers “Awakening of the Beasts”.
Málaga Pass
Connects the Cusco-Quillabamba road and is located between the snow-capped Veronica and other hills, it was also used in the movie. Travelers on the Inca Jungle trek descend by bicycle from this point to Santa Maria for rafting on the Vilcanota River.
San Martin
Ahuashiyacu Waterfalls

The people of Cusco held a corso for the economic and touristic reactivation of the imperial city.. Numerous people, both children and adults, were able to enjoy typical dances and allegories inspired by the movie.
