Getting there is very easy, but you may wonder what is the best way to visit it? What kind of ticket should I buy if I want to see the whole archaeological site? Because we travelers like to know everything and not miss any detail, right?

Machupicchu

Located in the heart of the Peruvian Andes, it is an Inca citadel built around 1450 and discovered in 1911.

Circuits

Circuit 1

It allows you to tour the upper and lower part of the archaeological site.
You will be able to see constructions such as: the Dry Moat, the Mirador of the Temple of the Sun, Granite Chaos, the Water Mirror Complex, the Pisonay Plaza and the Archaeological Reserve.

Circuit 2

It is like the extension of the previous tour, but with many more things to observe.
In addition to what is mentioned in circuit 1, you will be able to see: the Plaza of the Temples, the Sacred Rock, the Twelve Spans, the Eastern Qolcas, the Intiwatana Pyramid (from 07:00 to 10:00 hours) and the Temple of the Condor (from 10:00 to 13:00 hours).
You will also have the possibility of taking the optional route of the Inca Bridge.

Circuit 3

In this tour you will climb the Machu Picchu mountain, with an approximate time of 2 hours and where you can take a picture.
On the way down, you have the possibility to take the classic photo. To complete the tour, you must exit and re-enter through the lower part.
The attractions that you can see are the following: the Qolcas, the Agricultural Zone, the Water Canal, the Dry Moat, the Temple of the Sun Complex, the Inka House Complex, the Water Fountains, the Water Mirrors Complex, the Pisonay Plaza and the Archaeological Reserve.

Circuit 4

You will start the tour in the lower part, known as the urban sector, where you will be able to appreciate the attractions of circuit 3 and additionally the following: the Eastern Qolcas, the Sacred Rock, the Twelve Spans and the Temple of the Condor.

Tickets

There are three 4 types of tickets available and one that will be optional in case you wish to visit the “Jose Chavez Ballon” museum.
You can choose between these, depending on how you want to enjoy the Inca city.

Machupicchu Llaqta Ticket

If you love hiking, this ticket is ideal for you.
