ARRIVAL IN CUSCO & CITY TOUR – DISCOVERING THE IMPERIAL CITY

Upon your arrival at the Cusco airport, our team will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. To help you acclimate to the altitude, you’ll enjoy a traditional coca tea, an ancient beverage used in the Andes as part of the welcome to this millennia-old land.

In the afternoon, we’ll begin a tour of the historic center of Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. We’ll visit the Plaza de Armas and the majestic Cathedral, which houses important works of religious art and representative pieces of the Cusco School.

We’ll continue to the Qoricancha, known as the Temple of the Sun, one of the holiest sites in the Inca world, where ancient architecture blends with colonial heritage.

The tour will continue outside the city with a visit to Sacsayhuamán, an impressive ceremonial site renowned for its enormous, perfectly fitted stone blocks, and to the archaeological complex of Qenqo, associated with ancient Andean rituals.

At the end of the day, you’ll have the evening free to enjoy Cusco at your own pace, exploring its cobblestone streets, historic plazas, and corners steeped in tradition.

CUSCO – MORAY, MARAS SALT MINES & CHINCHERO – CUSCO

After breakfast, we’ll set out on a day dedicated to discovering some of the most fascinating treasures of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, combining Andean landscapes, ancient history, and living traditions.

Our first stop will be the Maras Salt Mines, an impressive complex of thousands of salt pools located on the mountainside. This ancient system, used since pre-Inca times, continues to operate thanks to the work of local communities that keep this tradition alive.

We’ll continue on to Moray, an enigmatic complex of circular terraces considered an Inca agricultural laboratory. Its design allowed for experimentation with different crops and microclimates, demonstrating this civilization’s advanced knowledge of engineering and agriculture.

Finally, we’ll visit Chinchero, a traditional Andean village renowned for its cultural richness and textile art. Here, we’ll learn about the ancestral weaving and natural dyeing techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation by local communities.

In the afternoon, we’ll return to Cusco, taking with us an experience that connects Inca history, the landscapes of the Sacred Valley, and the living culture of the Andes.

CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS – CUSCO

After breakfast, we’ll begin our exploration of the majestic Sacred Valley of the Incas, a region of breathtaking landscapes and a rich historical legacy.

Our first stop will be at the Taray viewpoint, where we’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the valley, surrounded by mountains, farmlands, and Andean communities that keep their traditions alive.

We’ll continue on to Pisac, where we’ll discover its impressive agricultural terraces and Inca structures built into the mountainside. Afterward, we’ll visit its traditional artisan market, a place known for its textiles, ceramics, and products crafted by local artisans.

We’ll enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba, prepared with fresh ingredients from the Sacred Valley, before continuing on to Ollantaytambo, one of the most important archaeological sites of the Inca Empire.

We’ll explore its imposing terraces, temples, and traditional streets, discovering the significance of this ancient ceremonial, agricultural, and strategic center. Its stone architecture and original urban layout allow us to appreciate the grandeur of Inca engineering.

At the end of the visit, we’ll return to Cusco, enjoying the Andean landscapes and taking with us an unforgettable experience of culture, history, and tradition.

CUSCO – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO | THE LOST CITADEL OF THE INCAS

Today you’ll have one of the most memorable experiences of your trip: a visit to Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and the most iconic legacy of the Inca civilization.

After breakfast, we’ll head to the train station (San Pedro, Poroy, or Ollantaytambo) to begin our journey to Aguas Calientes. During the journey, we’ll enjoy spectacular Andean scenery, including mountains covered in lush vegetation, crystal-clear rivers, and the majestic natural surroundings of the Sacred Valley.

Upon arrival, our expert guide will accompany us on the bus ride up to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, where we’ll take in breathtaking views of the Urubamba River canyon and the mountains surrounding the citadel.

Upon entering, we’ll take a guided tour lasting approximately two hours, exploring the sanctuary’s main areas, such as the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Condor, ceremonial plazas, and agricultural terraces. Through our guide’s historical insights and stories, we’ll discover the mysteries, architecture, and deep spiritual connection of this extraordinary place.

After the tour, you’ll have free time to take in the scenery, take photos, and enjoy the unique energy of this archaeological wonder.

Afterward, we’ll head down to Aguas Calientes to enjoy lunch (not included) before boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, our team will assist you with the transfer back to your hotel in Cusco.

CUSCO – RETURN HOME

On your last day in Cusco, after breakfast, you’ll have free time to enjoy your final moments in the imperial city, shop for souvenirs, visit artisan shops, or stroll through its charming streets at your own pace.

At the agreed-upon time, our team will transfer you to the Cusco airport, assisting you with your departure and bringing to a close an experience filled with history, culture, and unforgettable landscapes.
