This is the moment every adventurous family has been waiting for. Board an elegant train from Ollantaytambo and watch the landscape transform as the Sacred Valley gives way to the lush cloud forest. Through the wide panoramic windows, try to spot alpacas grazing among ancient terraces—a delight for both kids and adults.
The adventure continues with a short bus ride up to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Before reaching the citadel, enjoy a light lunch to recharge for this long-awaited experience.
Your private visit to Machu Picchu, led by an expert guide, will be nothing short of unforgettable. As you walk through ancient chambers and hanging terraces nestled between the mountains, you’ll hear fascinating stories and uncover the secrets of Inca engineering and spirituality. Seeing the precision of their architecture up close will exceed all expectations.

DAY 5: Huayna Picchu
HUAYNA PICCHU OR MACHU PICCHU MOUNTAIN
Today is your chance to choose your own final adventure in Machu Picchu. You may opt to hike the iconic Huayna Picchu Mountain or the majestic Machu Picchu Mountain. Both routes offer exciting challenges and breathtaking views of the citadel and the awe-inspiring landscape that surrounds it.
Huayna Picchu is perfect for those looking for a shorter but steeper climb, featuring a touch of adrenaline and hidden ruins tucked among the vegetation. Machu Picchu Mountain, on the other hand, offers a longer, less technical hike—ideal for those who prefer a more relaxed pace with panoramic views of the Sacred Valley and the citadel from above.
Both options are exclusive and have limited daily availability, so advance booking together with your Machu Picchu entry is essential.
After this culminating experience, you’ll reunite in Aguas Calientes and board the train back to Ollantaytambo. There, your Peru VIP Travel host will be waiting to transfer you comfortably to your hotel in Cusco.
Relax and enjoy a well-earned evening in the imperial capital of the Incas, with your heart full of unforgettable memories and your camera loaded with vibrant snapshots of Machu Picchu.
DAY 6: Cusco City Tour
CUSCO CITY TOUR – CHOCOLATE MUSEUM
Get ready to fall in love with Cusco, a vibrant city that captivates nearly every traveler who visits. A private tour is the best way to dive into its history and uncover its most intimate secrets.
Your guide will meet you at the hotel to begin the exploration. You’ll visit the impressive archaeological remains of Sacsayhuamán, where the Incas bravely resisted the Spanish conquest; then stroll through the bohemian neighborhood of San Blas, home to artisans and inspiring workshops. You’ll also explore Qoricancha, the ancient Temple of the Sun, over which the Spanish built the Santo Domingo Monastery. Along the way, you’ll enjoy local snacks and traditional treats.
In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a sweet experience at the Chocolate Museum. As the cradle of Andean cacao, Cusco is the perfect place to learn about this cherished delicacy. You’ll take part in an interactive workshop where you’ll craft your own chocolate truffles—a delicious souvenir to take home.
DAY 7: Magic Water Circuit – Lima
FLIGHT TO LIMA – MAGIC WATER CIRCUIT
This morning, your journey continues with a flight from Cusco to Lima, marking the final stage of your unforgettable family vacation in Peru. Be sure to look out the window as the majestic snow-capped Andes gradually give way to the golden dunes of the coastal desert.
Upon arrival in the capital, you’ll be welcomed by your Peru VIP Travel Lima host, who will escort you to your hotel in the vibrant Miraflores district, perched on cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
In the evening, get ready for a charming experience. Put on comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting wet, as you’ll head to the Magic Water Circuit, a dazzling light and fountain show in one of Lima’s most iconic parks. This spectacular display of dancing fountains, lights, and music is a magical experience for both children and adults. Many fountains are interactive—perfect for splashing around and having fun as a family. It’s a night you’ll remember forever.
DAY 8: Return Home
EQUESTRIAN LUNCH – PERUVIAN PASO HORSE SHOW
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Lima. Unwind by the hotel pool, stroll along the Miraflores boardwalk with views of the Pacific Ocean, or simply take time to savor the final moments of this extraordinary family adventure.
By late morning, you’ll be picked up for a journey to the countryside of Lurín, on the outskirts of the city. There, a unique experience awaits: an equestrian lunch at a traditional Peruvian hacienda, home to the elegant Peruvian Paso horses.
After a tour of the stables and gardens—and a close-up encounter with the youngest foals—you’ll enjoy an outdoor lunch at the hacienda, surrounded by history, nature, and warm coastal hospitality.
Then comes the show: to the rhythm of drums and trumpets from the marinera norteña, you’ll witness expert chalanes (Peruvian horsemen) guiding their horses through a graceful and harmonious dance. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even ride one of these noble animals and experience the world-famous paso llano, the smoothest gait in the world.
After this one-of-a-kind experience, you’ll return to Miraflores with time to enjoy a light dinner or one last walk through the city. When it’s time to depart, we’ll take you to the Lima airport for your international flight home.
