DAY 1: Welcome

ARRIVAL IN LIMA (79M)

Welcome to Lima!

Upon arrival at “Jorge Chavez” international airport, you will be greeted by a representative of Peru Vip Travel, who will give you a warm welcome and take you to your hotel. During the transfer, we will give you a brief introduction to the city and upon arrival you can relax and get ready for the exciting adventure that awaits us.

DAY 2: City Tour Lima

LIMA (79M) – LIMA CITY TOUR & MAGICAL WATER CIRCUIT

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will start the day exploring the fascinating city of kings. From the comfort of our transportation, you will be able to admire emblematic places such as the Paseo de la República, the famous Plaza San Martín and the imposing Government Palace. Then, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich history by visiting the Convent of San Francisco, an outstanding architectural work of the 17th century. The experience will culminate with a tour of the catacombs, the main cemetery of the colonial era.

After the city tour, you will have part of the afternoon free to enjoy lunch. Afterwards, we will head to the famous Magic Circuit of the Waters, where you will explore an enchanting park with 13 cybernetic fountains. You will experience a unique show, where water, music and an impressive set of laser lights merge to offer you a wonderful spectacle.

Finally, we will escort you back to your hotel so you can relax and rest after a day full of discoveries.

DAY 3: Huacachina

LIMA/ICA – BALLESTAS ISLANDS & SANDBOARDING IN HUACACHINA (406M)

We will start the day early by picking you up at your hotel, then we will head out on a trip to the impressive Paracas Bay. Once there, we will embark to the Ballestas Islands, a paradise inhabited by thousands of migratory birds. Pelicans, tendrils, boisterous guanayes, cormorants and other birds share this fascinating habitat with colonies of charming sea lions.

We will then continue our journey to the charming town of Ica, where we will visit a vineyard and enjoy a demonstration of traditional wines and pisco. The delight will continue with a delicious lunch.

We continue visiting the famous oasis of Huacachina. Here we will experience the thrill of sandboarding, one of the most popular sports in the impressive dunes. Accompanied by our sand carts, which will take us to make the most of the dunes and observe the beautiful landscapes of the Peruvian desert at sunset.

DAY 4: Nazca Lines

ICA/NAZCA/AREQUIPA – FLIGHT OVER THE NAZCA LINES (520M)

Today we embark on a journey to Peru’s oldest enigmatic astronomical calendar.

In the morning we will board the bus to Nazca. Upon arrival, we will head to the Maria Reiche aerodrome, where we will excitedly await the take-off of the light aircraft that will take us to fly over these famous lines.

These mysterious lines, first discovered by Paul Kosok in 1939, have intrigued explorers and scientists ever since. With around 70 figures stretching from 15 to 300 meters in length, these enigmatic shapes are testimony to ancient ingenuity that still baffles modern science.

At the end of the afternoon we board the bus and head to Arequipa, upon arrival transfer to your hotel.

DAY 5: City Tour Arequipa

AREQUIPA (2,335M) – CITY TOUR AREQUIPA

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will begin our tour at the Plaza de Armas, the historic heart surrounded by emblematic buildings.

We will continue to the impressive Church of La Compañía de Jesús, an architectural treasure that exhibits the use of ashlar in its construction, highlighting its unique beauty.

Our tour will take us to the district of Yanahuara, famous for its viewpoint that offers majestic views of the Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu volcanoes, as well as the city itself.

Finally, we will head to the historic Santa Catalina Monastery, founded in 1580. We will walk through its cloisters, picturesque streets and squares that have remained intact over time. In addition, we will learn about the life of the nuns who resided in this place, immersing ourselves in their fascinating lifestyle.

DAY 6: Colca Canyon

AREQUIPA – COLCA CANYON – CHIVAY (3,635M)

After breakfast, we will start early, picking you up from the hotel and boarding our mobility to go to the Colca Canyon, the trip crosses the foothills of the Chachani, crossing the national reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca populated by wild vicuñas and dotted with shepherds villages this place has a magnificent panorama of huge snow-capped volcanoes like Ampato (6,400M) and Huallca Huallca (6,025M) We will pass by the “Mirador de los Volcanes” at (4,800M) to arrive to Chivay; We will have the rest of the afternoon free to enjoy the facilities offered by the hotel or make the optional visit to the hot springs of La Calera.

DAY 7: Condor Flight

FLIGHT OF THE CONDOR – CHIVAY/PUNO (3,827M)

This will be a magnificent day, in the early hours of the morning, we will go to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint, an outstanding point where you can regularly see the condors, the largest birds in the world. Their majestic flight will be an unforgettable spectacle. In addition, this place will give us an impressive view of the Canyon, which is spectacularly illuminated by the first rays of the morning sun.

We will continue our journey, enjoying unparalleled views of the snow-capped region, as well as beautiful landscapes and charming villages such as Yanque, Achoma and Maca, which have preserved their authenticity since the time of the Incas.

In the afternoon, we will board the tourist bus to the city of Puno, where we will spend the night.

DAY 8: Uros Island

PUNO – UROS ISLAND AND AMANTANI ISLAND (4,150M)

On this special day, we will explore the majestic Lake Titicaca and its islands on an exciting boat excursion. We will begin our journey through the floating islands of the Uros, known for their unique way of life.

In this Aymara village, houses are built on large totora reed rafts, anchored by stakes to prevent the islands from drifting away. The people who inhabit these islands sustain their lives through fishing, handicrafts, hunting and collecting eggs, which are then sold in the city of Puno.

We will continue our journey to the picturesque island of Amantani, where we will have the opportunity to take a short hike along its trails. Here, we can also ascend to Pachatata (4,200 meters), from where we will enjoy spectacular views of the Cordillera Real mountain range of Peru and Bolivia, as well as the natural surroundings of Lake Titicaca. Weather permitting, we will witness a breathtaking sunset over the lake and surrounding mountains.

DAY 9: Taquile Island

AMANTANI AND TAQUILE ISLAND – PUNO (3,827M)

The next day, we will depart from the island of Amantani to Taquile, an island adorned with Inca-style terraced crops. Its inhabitants maintain a traditional lifestyle based on communist principles, where property is private but work is collective. About 300 people work one day for themselves and another day for the community.

Life in Taquile remains self-sustaining and is rooted in the Inca principles of “no stealing, no lying and no idleness”, customs that have endured over the centuries.

The upper part of the island offers breathtaking views of the lake, the bay of Puno, the Cordillera Real in Bolivia and the Altiplano. These views will be a rewarding reward for the effort of getting there.

In the afternoon, we will return to the city of Puno.

DAY 10: Sun Route

PUNO/CUSCO – THE ROUTE OF THE SUN – CUSCO (3,400M)

We begin our trip with the transfer from your hotel to the bus station, we will enjoy the wonderful landscapes while we say goodbye to the city of Puno.

Our first stop will be the Pukara Lithic Museum, home to ceramics and sculptures depicting zoomorphic figures, including the famous sculpture of “Hatun Ñakaj” or “The Supreme Slasher”, a relic of ancestral significance.

We continue until we reach the majestic La Raya pass, located at 4335 m, marking the boundary between the regions of Puno and Cusco, followed by a unique lunch, delighting us with the exquisite seasoning of the chef.

We will then head to the Raqchi Archaeological Complex, recognized as the Temple of the God Wiracocha, the supreme deity of the Incas. Explore the granaries (Colcas) and admire the impressive stone and adobe constructions during our journey.

Finally, we will visit the impressive Andahuaylillas Chapel, known as the “Sistine Chapel of America” for its murals and paintings of the Cusco school. Its works in gold leaf will transport us through time for its beauty and magnificence.

Finally, we will arrive to the imperial city of Cusco, transfer to the hotel.

DAY 11: City Tour Cusco

CUSCO (3,400M)- CITY TOUR CUSCO:

Already in the famous capital of the Incas, after a delicious breakfast. We start with the tour of the city, the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, which has paintings of the Cuzco school and many treasures of jewelry, silver and precious stones, then we go to the convent of Santo Domingo, Temple of the Sun or Q’oricancha.

The excursion continues outside the city to visit the Inca complexes of Q’enqo and the impressive Sacsayhuaman Fortress, strategically built on the hilltop overlooking the city of Cusco. The enormous stones of the outer walls of the complex were carved and joined with amazing precision. Some of these stones are over 09 feet high and weigh more than 120 tons.

In the afternoon you will have the option to visit the city of Cusco with its beautiful and very traditional streets from the Inca era and colonial contrast.

DAY 12: Moray Maras

CUSCO – MORAY & SALINERAS FROM MARAS – CUSCO

Ready for the next activity: we head to the picturesque village of Maras, located 52 km from the city. Here we find the most important salt mines of the region, exploited since Inca times. Then, we will visit the circular terraces of “Moray”, an amazing Inca laboratory with terraces of different sizes.

To culminate this beautiful day, we will explore the handicraft market of Chincheros, where we will find the remains of the Inca hacienda Yupanqui Tupac and its beautiful temple built on Inca foundations. This place, originally dedicated to the barter of agricultural products, offers handicrafts and textiles made in the purest pre-Columbian style. We will return to Cusco to enjoy a free afternoon.

DAY 13: Sacred Valley

CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY (2,850M) – CUSCO

Today we will travel to the mythical “Sacred Valley of the Incas”.

We will transfer by bus to the archaeological site of Pisaq (1 hour), located at the top of the highest mountain in the town of the same name. Here we will have a guided tour of approximately 2 hours and in the village we will visit its handicraft market.

Continuing with the trip, we will head to the city of Urubamba passing through picturesque traditional villages along the way and other places of great natural beauty.

We will arrive in Urubamba at noon and pause to enjoy an exquisite lunch, allowing us to recharge our batteries before the next phase of our adventure.

After the enriching gastronomic experience, we will head towards the vibrant town of Ollantaytambo, affectionately known as the “living town”. This enchanting place will immerse you in daily life steeped in history and tradition.

Filled with unforgettable memories and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the Andes, we will return to Cusco.

DAY 14:Machupicchu

CUSCO – MACHUPICCHU (2,300M) – CUSCO

Today, we will embark on the realization of a lifelong dream.
After a delicious breakfast in the morning we will be ready for this exciting adventure, we will depart at the appointed time to the train station (San Pedro, Poroy or Ollantaytambo).

We will board the train to the charming town of Aguas Calientes, enjoying an impressive landscape, full of vegetation, flora, green mountains and the Urubamba River.

Upon arrival, our guide will be waiting for you, and together we will board the bus that will take us to the Machu Picchu checkpoint in a 30 minute ride, on the way we will have spectacular views of mountains and the Urubamba River, which forms a deep canyon.

You will enjoy a first view of the sanctuary, together with our guide we will immerse ourselves in the history, architecture and mysteries of Machu Picchu during a tour of approximately 2 hours, visiting its highlights such as the Intihuatana, the temple of the Condor among others. We will have free time to explore on our own and immerse ourselves in the unique energy of this wonder.

After the enriching visit, we will take the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes to enjoy lunch (not included).

To conclude this unique experience, we will board the train to Ollantaytambo, where our representative will meet us and take us back to our hotel in Cusco. This quiet and comfortable closing marks the end of a day full of discoveries in the majestic Machupicchu.

DAY 15: Farewell
