ARRIVAL IN CUSCO—CITY TOUR

Upon your arrival at Cusco International Airport, our Peru VIP Travel team will give you a warm welcome and transfer you to your hotel located in the city’s historic center.

During the transfer, you’ll enjoy a first introduction to Cusco, a city where the legacy of the Inca Empire and colonial architecture come together to create a unique destination. Upon arrival at the hotel, you’ll be greeted with a traditional coca tea, which is ideal for helping you acclimate to the altitude.

In the afternoon, we’ll begin our tour of the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. We’ll visit the Plaza de Armas and the majestic Cusco Cathedral, renowned for its valuable artistic heritage and the richness of the Cusco School of Art. We’ll continue to the historic Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun, one of the most sacred sites of the Inca civilization.

The experience will continue in the city’s outskirts with a visit to Q’enqo and the impressive ceremonial fortress of Sacsayhuamán, famous for its enormous, perfectly fitted stone blocks and its spectacular views of Cusco.

At the end of the tour, you’ll have free time to enjoy the charm of the imperial city, stroll through its cobblestone streets, explore its artisan shops, and appreciate the blend of history, tradition, and culture that characterizes Cusco.

CUSCO – MARAS SALT MINES, MORAY & CHINCHERO – ANCIENT ANDEAN WISDOM

After breakfast, we’ll set out on a journey to discover some of the most fascinating sites in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where nature and ancient knowledge come together in unique landscapes.

Our first stop will be the Maras Salt Mines, an impressive series of salt pools located on the mountainside. This ancient system, used since pre-Inca times, continues to be operated by local communities, preserving a millennia-old tradition.

We’ll continue on to Moray, an extraordinary complex of circular terraces considered an Inca agricultural laboratory. Its design demonstrates the Incas’ advanced knowledge of experimenting with crops and adapting them to different altitudes and climatic conditions.

We’ll conclude the tour in Chinchero, a traditional Andean village renowned for its rich culture and textiles crafted using ancestral techniques passed down through generations.

In the afternoon, we’ll return to Cusco, taking with us an experience rich in history, Andean landscapes, and living culture.

CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS – CUSCO

After breakfast, we’ll begin our exploration of the majestic Sacred Valley of the Incas, a region renowned for its landscapes, cultural richness, and historical legacy.

Our first stop will be at the Taray viewpoint, where we’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley, surrounded by mountains, farmlands, and Andean communities.

We’ll continue on to Pisac, where we’ll discover its impressive agricultural terraces and remnants of Inca architecture. Then we’ll visit its traditional artisan market, where local artisans offer textiles, ceramics, and pieces representative of Andean culture.

We’ll enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba, prepared with fresh local produce, before continuing on to Ollantaytambo, one of the most important archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley.

We’ll explore its ancient streets and Inca terraces, discovering the importance of this town as a ceremonial, agricultural, and strategic center during the Inca Empire.

At the end of the visit, we’ll return to Cusco, enjoying the Andean landscapes and taking with us an unforgettable experience filled with history, culture, and tradition.

CUSCO – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO | THE GREAT INCA EXPERIENCE

After breakfast, we’ll embark on one of the most anticipated experiences of the trip: a visit to Machu Picchu, the legendary Inca citadel and one of the greatest symbols of Peruvian heritage.

We’ll head to the train station (San Pedro, Poroy, or Ollantaytambo) to board our train bound for Aguas Calientes. During the journey, we’ll enjoy a scenic ride through green mountains, lush vegetation, and along the Urubamba River, which accompanies us on the way to this magical destination.

Upon arrival, our guide will be waiting to begin the bus ride up to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Along the way, we’ll take in breathtaking views of the Urubamba River Canyon and the natural surroundings of the citadel.

Upon entering, we’ll take a guided tour lasting approximately two hours, exploring the main areas of Machu Picchu, such as the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Condor, ceremonial plazas, and Inca terraces. We’ll discover the history, architecture, and mysteries of this extraordinary masterpiece of Inca civilization.

After the tour, you’ll have free time to enjoy the scenery, take photos, and experience the unique energy of this sacred place.

Afterward, we’ll descend to Aguas Calientes to enjoy lunch (not included) before boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, our representative will accompany you on the return transfer to your hotel in Cusco.

CUSCO – HUMANTAY LAKE – CUSCO

Very early in the morning, we’ll set out on our adventure to one of Cusco’s most breathtaking natural landscapes: the majestic Humantay Lake, nestled among the mountains and snow-capped peaks of the Andes.

Our team will pick you up at your hotel between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. to begin the journey to Mollepata, a picturesque village in the Apurímac River Valley, where we’ll enjoy breakfast before continuing on our way.

We’ll arrive at Soraypampa, at 3,900 meters above sea level, the starting point of the hike to the lagoon. During the ascent, we’ll enjoy unique Andean landscapes, accompanied by the imposing Salkantay snow-capped peak and the region’s natural beauty.

After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of hiking, we’ll reach the spectacular Humantay Lake, located at 4,200 meters above sea level, famous for its turquoise waters and the breathtaking surroundings. We’ll have time to take in the scenery, take photos, and learn more about this place from our guide.

At the end of the visit, we’ll return to Mollepata to enjoy lunch with spectacular views of the snow-capped Andean peaks before beginning our return journey to Cusco.

We’ll arrive in the city around 5:00 p.m., concluding an experience that combines adventure, nature, and the purest essence of the Peruvian Andes.

CUSCO – VINICUNCA COLORFUL MOUNTAIN – CUSCO | THE BEST OF THE ANDES

Very early in the morning, we’ll set out on our adventure to Vinicunca, known as the Mountain of Colors, one of the most breathtaking natural landscapes in the Vilcanota Mountain Range.

Our journey will begin toward Cusipata, where we’ll enjoy stunning views of the Andean countryside, traditional communities, and the majestic mountains surrounding Cusco along the way. After breakfast, we’ll continue to the starting point of the hike.

During the ascent, we’ll discover unique Andean scenery, accompanied by llamas and alpacas alongside their local herders, who preserve their traditions and ancestral attire. In the distance, the imposing snow-capped Ausangate will take center stage in this extraordinary landscape.

Upon reaching the summit, we’ll be amazed by the incredible natural hues of the Mountain of Colors—a perfect spot to contemplate the beauty of the Andes and capture unforgettable photographs.

After enjoying this experience, we’ll begin our descent and return to Cusipata for lunch before heading back to Cusco.

At the agreed-upon time, our team will transfer you to the Cusco airport to see you off and assist you until the end of your experience.
