Latja is the Quechua term for the department of Cochabamba, another of Bolivia’s places of interest. This region is located in the heart of the country, in a fertile land full of valleys that produce the ingredients for Bolivia’s best-known cuisine. You will immediately notice the colonial past of the capital, full of picturesque corners to enjoy without hot flashes because, not in vain, it is called the “City of Eternal Spring”. Surrounded by mountains, from Cochabamba you can go hiking, canyoning or paragliding, visit the famous Christ of Concord (very similar to Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro) or be amazed by the pre-Columbian mummies housed in the Archaeological Museum of Cochabamba.
