Arrival in the Amazonian city of Iquitos:

The itinerary begins with arrival at the airport, where the crew will be waiting to transfer the group in a private vehicle. A lunch box will be enjoyed during the trip to Nauta, a charming riverside town on the banks of the Marañon River, the first town founded in Loreto.

In Nauta, you will receive a VIP greeting at the private port, where the ship, the Delfin, awaits. On board, the highly qualified staff will escort travelers to their suites, equipped with luxurious amenities such as orthopedic mattresses, high quality linens and pillows, air conditioning and private bathroom with hot shower.

As the Delfin begins the navigation, the panoramic view will be enjoyed from the observation area on the third deck, where an exotic cocktail made with regional fruits and pisco will be served. A naturalist guide will provide an overview of the voyage itinerary, highlighting the activities, wildlife and vegetation of the Amazon.

The first excursion will take the group to the Marañon River, an ideal place to observe birds and monkeys. The guide will point out various animals while enjoying the beautiful scenery and capturing the first sunset in the Amazon.

Yanayacu Pucate – Fundo Casual

After a delicious breakfast, we will begin our day crossing the Yanayacu and Pucate Rivers, exploring streams and lagoons in one of the best preserved areas of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Our expert guide will show us the incredible biodiversity of the region as we navigate in kayaks for an up-close experience with nature, including sightings of the magical pink dolphins of the Amazon.

Then, we will head to a local community to meet its inhabitants and enjoy the warmth of their hospitality. We will visit a typical school where the children will welcome us with joy, and explore a handicraft market where the women of the community exhibit and sell their beautiful handicrafts.

A walk through Fundo Casual will take us deep into the jungle on dry land, where our guide will show us the fascinating plant and animal life of the Amazon. We will keep our senses alert so as not to miss any detail, as each step reveals new surprises. We may encounter anacondas, rainbow boas, tarantulas, poison dart frogs and sloth bears, culminating with the sight of the tallest tree in the region at the end of the tour – an unforgettable adventure in the heart of the Amazon rainforest!

Yarapa River – Confluence

Along the Yarapa River, you will have the opportunity to explore this tributary in a closer way. Immerse yourself in the sounds of the jungle, close your eyes and let yourself be carried away by this natural symphony.

We will navigate downstream until we reach an enchanting hidden lagoon, while you contemplate the beauty of the landscape and reflect on the wildlife. Observe birds such as hawks, terns and herons, as well as monkeys that are part of our daily experience on these excursions.

In this area, you will have the opportunity to meet the inhabitants of the Amazon: the river people. Observe monkey species such as the pygmy pygmy, squirrel monkey and the endemic scaly Saki. The latter, with its appearance of being dressed for the Arctic instead of the Amazon, will surprise you.

We will arrive at the Confluence, also known as the “Union of the Rivers”, where we will be able to toast while admiring the different colors of the three rivers. Here, the Ucayali River joins the Marañon River, forming what other countries, apart from Brazil, consider the main channel of the Amazon River. Enjoy a beautiful farewell sunset in this magical destination in the world.

Desembarque – Amazon Forever – Salida del Aeropuerto

Farewell at the port of Nauta and private transfer to Iquitos, about 95 km away by paved road. During the trip, we will visit the River Mammal Rescue and Rehabilitation Center (Amazon Forever), where you will have the opportunity to meet baby manatees and other rescued species. We encourage you to contribute with a donation to this important organization.

Arrival at the International Airport Crnl. FAP Francisco Secada Vignetta International Airport, where our staff will help you with check-in and luggage.
