Today we’ll explore Ollantaytambo, known as the “living Inca town,” one of the few settlements that has remained inhabited since ancient times. We’ll begin with a visit to its impressive archaeological site, a majestic fortress whose terraces rise toward the mountains, built with enormous, perfectly fitted stone blocks, offering spectacular views of the Sacred Valley.

Throughout the tour, we’ll explore temples, plazas, and ancient storage areas, gaining an understanding of its significance as a religious, agricultural, and military center of the Inca Empire, as well as the historical events that took place here.

Afterward, we’ll stroll through its cobblestone streets, where the original urban layout remains intact. The sound of water flowing through ancient stone canals, combined with the centuries-old facades, creates an authentic and deeply evocative atmosphere.

Lunch will be at Alqa Restaurant, a venue that reinterprets Andean cuisine with a contemporary approach. Today we’ll spend the day discovering Cusco’s main cultural treasures through a carefully designed experience. We’ll begin at the Qoricancha, the ancient Temple of the Sun, where the perfection of Inca architecture blends with the colonial heritage of the Santo Domingo Convent.

We’ll continue to the Casa Sullca Museum, an intimate space that reveals the Andean worldview through original artifacts and stories that keep the tradition alive.

The route will then take us to Sacsayhuamán, an imposing ceremonial fortress whose monumental walls reflect extraordinary Inca engineering, accompanied by spectacular views of the city.
