Quito, the first city to be declared a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, is located in the Andes Mountains. The city is surrounded by twelve volcanoes, among them: Pichincha, Cotopaxi, Antisana, Cayambe, which form a majestic Andean contour.
The historic center of Quito is probably the largest in Latin America, not only for its size but also for the architectural monuments it contains. Thus, Quito offers a variety of cultural, academic, recreational, museums, bookstores and shows.
